Donating to the Alaska SPCA

The WHO

The Alaska SPCA has been promoting animal welfare since 1955, and generous donors have been with us every step of the way. Today they enable us to serve over 11,000 pets and their families each year through pivotal, and lifesaving, programs.

We take pride in being part of this community and are grateful to all our donors who support our mission. We are not affiliated with the national ASPCA, and do not receive their funding.

Donations made to Alaska SPCA fund services to care for and protect dogs and cats across the state. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit has been serving Alaskans, and their pets, since 1955 and we rely on community support to keep these vital services running.

Your support today will mean a better tomorrow for pets in your community!

The WHY
Luna.jpg

Each and every day, donations to Alaska SPCA offer healing, relief, and second chances, to Alaska’s dogs and cats.

Through donor-funded services dedicated to providing the best possible care for animals in need, our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to rescue, treat, and rehome animals. These animals receive the love and attention they deserve, thanks to the love and care of the humans around them.

That’s what makes your support so important! Our donors cover nearly 90% of shelter operating expenses, because the reality is: Adoption fees cover only a fraction of the cost to re-home a pet.

The WHAT

Donations to Alaska SPCA do many things, including:

  • Allow us to keep clinic prices low so that everyone can afford vet care

  • Provide support for hardship situations so that no pet suffers needlessly

  • Fund our Adoption Center and saves hundreds of pet lives annually

  • Provide medical care for abandoned and homeless dogs and cats
