Volunteer Registration




We’re thrilled you’re ready to make a difference with us! Whether you’re excited to help around the Pet Resource Center, walk dogs, brighten a cat’s day, or help with our events, we have an opportunity just for you.
Your energy and passion will transform the lives of the animals we care for.
Please note that volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Register as a volunteer.
Step One:
Click the button to head to our volunteer calendar.
From there, click the button in the top right corner labeled
New Volunteer Registration and fill out the required fields.
Step Two:
Attend Our Volunteer Orientation
Click the button to head to our volunteer calendar. Click Admin/Events Calendar. Select a Volunteer Orientation shift and sign up.
Our next Volunteer Orientation Dates are:
June 10th, June 24th, and July 12th.
Volunteer Orientation is REQUIRED to Volunteer at Alaska SPCA.
Step Three:
Complete the Fear Free Training
IMPORTANT:
To work with animals, you must complete the Fear Free Training.
After you finish your Fear Free training you'll get a Certificate of Completion. Please email this certificate to Natalie, our Volunteer Coordinator.
Step Four:
Wait For Confirmation
After you have emailed your Fear Free Training Certificate, it will be added to your account. You will be notified via email when this has occurred.
Step Five:
Sign Up For Your First Shift
Once you have gotten your confirmation email, and have completed the Alaska SPCA Volunteer Orientation, you will be able to sign up for your first volunteer shift!

Interested in Volunteering as a Group?
Click below to fill out our Volunteer Group Interest Form. Please note that all members of the group must be over the age of 18 to volunteer.
Once completed, a staff member will be in touch with you to schedule volunteering with us!
